Santa took time out of his busy schedule to stop by Staton 53 and visit with the children of the community.  Visitors had an opportunity to meet the big guy and deliver their wish lists.  

Santa took a ride with the Broomall Fire Co. taking a quick tour of the township before stopping by the annual holiday festivities at Veterans Park.  Children at the park had the opportunity to sit with Santa after the annual tree lighting ceremony.

Co. 53 handled this truck fire at Sproul & Reed Roads, Marple Twp. during the evening rush. Engine 41 (Newtown Square Fire Co.) was also added to assist and no injuries were reported. Traffic in the area was diverted during the incident.

Rescue 53 responded to this multi vehicle accident at Hawthorne Road & Springfield Road, Marple Twp this afternoon. Firefighters assisted MTPD with clean up of fluids while units from Marple EMS evaluated the involved parties for injuries. The roadway has since been cleared and reopened.
