Firefighters are the backbone of the fire company working as a team responding to a variety of emergencies such as fires, vehicle rescues, and hazardous materials incidents. Firefighters routinely train to sharpen skills and techniques used in the industry to better prepare to mitigate emergency incidents. Firefighters are required to complete fire school training and fire apparatus qualification testing to be certified in the BFC. Firefighters fall under the direction/coordination of the Fire Chiefs & Fire Line Officers.
Note: Minimum 18 years old to be a firefighter, must be 21 to drive fire apparatus.
