Co. 53 along with mutual aid agencies were alerted for a commercial structure fire in the 2400blk of Highland Ave, Marple Twp.  Chief 53 arrived to find smoke showing from the eves of the snack shop/clubhouse adjacent to the local little league fields.  Engine 53 forced entry into the locked structure to find an active fire in the snack shop and were able to quickly extinguish with a 1.75″ line.  Additional units assisted with overhaul and ventilation before being released by 53 Command.  No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire appears accidential.
