At approx. 0245hrs the BFC along with mutual aid (Newtown Square & Manoa) were alerted to a house fire in the 2400blk of N. Greenhill Road, Marple Twp.  D/C 53 (Lefferts) arrived to find a fire in the chimney extending into a rear addition of the residence.  Engine 53 arrived and ignited fire attack w/a 1.75″ hose line while Ladder 41 and additional units began opening up checking for fire extension.  Crews remained on scene for approx. 2 hours overhauling the residence and verifying all hot spots were extinguished.  No injuries were reported.
