Shortly after 10am the Broomall Fire Co. along with Marple EMS were alerted to a motor vehicle accident at West Chester Pike & Springfield Road, Marple Twp. Units arriving found a single vehicle accident after a sedan traveling on Springfield Rd struck a tree in the median before coming to rest in the intersection. EMS units were able to treat the involved individual and transport them to a local hospital in stable condition. While the investigation is on going by Marple Police Dept., it appears the cause of the crash was most likely due to a medical event.
