Truck, Rescue & Engine 53 responded to the unit block of Chestnut Road, Edgmont Twp. on the reported working basement fire.  A/C 41 on scene reporting an energized house with an active fire in the basement.  Truck & Rescue 53 crews assisted with extension and manpower before returning to Marple.
