The Broomall Fire Company participated in several events memorializing those lost in the tragic events of September 11, 2001.  Members spent the weekend attending ceremonies held by Marple Newtown High School, placing a flag for each person lost on 9/11, while the entire student body attended to mark the event.  In addition, Truck 53 and crew assisted with the 9/11 memorial bike ride that rode through Marple Twp. and several other towns in Southeastern PA.  Finally, crews participated in the Marple Twp. 9/11 Ceremony held at Veteran’s Park, which included a non-demonization prayer service, military honor guard, local cub scouts, and community leaders who gathered together to remember those lost and honor those who responded that fateful day.
