Tropical Storm Isaias rolled into our area over night and our volunteers have been running ever since, responding to calls for sevice throughout Marple Twp. and surrounding communities. Numerous roads have been shuttered due to flood roadways and fallen trees, while power outages have plagued residents from downed power lines. Rescue 53 made several rescues of stranded motorists from their flooded cars, while Engine & Utility 53 made the response to a working house fire in Haverford Twp. Later on Squad, Rescue, & Traffic 53 assisted with evacuating flooded apartment complexes in our low lying areas along Lawrence Road.
