At approximately 0430hrs the BFC along with mutual aid units were alerted to a house fire in the unit block of Vassar Road, Marple Twp. First arriving units encountered a heater on fire with a dense smoke condition throughout the house. Units were able to quickly contain the fire which was held to the heater with some minor extension into the first floor. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.
